About STIHL recalls
When a safety issue is discovered with a consumer product, the manufacturer works with the CPSC to issue a recall. Recalls typically offer one of three remedies at no charge to the consumer: a repair kit, a replacement product, or a refund. Acting on a recall notice is always free — manufacturers are required by law to provide the remedy.
