About Rheem recalls
HVAC recalls are less frequent than appliance recalls, but when they happen they tend to be serious, typically fire hazards, carbon monoxide risks, or electrical faults in furnaces, heat pumps, and water heaters. Rheem recalls are issued through the CPSC and remediated in the field.

Stop using the product if the hazard is active
Some recalls involve fire, shock, or injury hazards. If the recall notice recommends stopping use immediately, follow that guidance before contacting the company for a remedy.
Contact Rheem for your remedy
Recall notices include the manufacturer's contact information and the specific remedy offered (repair, replacement, or refund). Contact them directly, remedies are provided at no cost under federal law.
